Introducing the RFN WARRIOR YOUTH SX-E8 Electric Dirt Bike – Built to Outrun, Outlast and Outperform

Get ready to experience extreme performance with the RFN WARRIOR YOUTH SX-E8, a powerhouse electric dirt bike built for youth riders who are ready to step up to serious motocross-level performance. With more torque, higher speeds, and smarter technology, the SX-E8 goes head-to-head with traditional 65cc petrol bikes and leaves them in the dust.

Electric Power with Jaw-Dropping Torque

At the heart of the SX-E8 is a massive 8kW Peak Output Motor, pushing out 10 horsepower and an incredible 270Nm of torque. With a top speed of 85 km/h, this electric beast delivers instant throttle response and trail-blazing acceleration—no clutch, no delay, just pure electric punch.

High-Capacity Samsung Swappable Battery

Fueling the SX-E8 is a premium 60V 35Ah Samsung Lithium-Ion battery (2,100Wh), giving you a range of up to 60km at a cruising speed of 35km/h. Need more ride time? A 2.5-hour fast charging system and swappable battery design mean you can recharge or switch and be back on the track faster than ever.

Engineered for Off-Road Domination

With 14” front and 12” rear motocross-style tyres, the SX-E8 grips any terrain with authority from hard-packed tracks to loose dirt trails. The suspension setup includes 205mm of front fork travel and 235mm of rear shock travel, giving riders a smooth and confidence-inspiring ride across jumps, ruts, and rocks.

Lightweight, Yet Built Like a Tank

Despite its incredible power, the SX-E8 weighs just 58kg, making it significantly lighter than most 65cc petrol bikes. That means easier handling, faster response, and better control. A 745mm seat height and 1,145mm wheelbase make it perfect for growing riders stepping into the next class of performance.

Quiet, Clean, and Hassle-Free

Forget mixing fuel or adjusting carburetors this is electric simplicity at its best. With no engine noise, no exhaust, no hot surfaces, and virtually zero maintenance, the SX-E8 lets young riders focus on fun while parents enjoy peace of mind.

Safety and Control, Dialed In

The SX-E8 is equipped with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes for serious stopping power, plus an advanced electronic controller for seamless throttle modulation. Multiple ride modes give riders and parents control over power output as skills progress. It’s rugged, responsive, and built to keep up with developing talent.

Electric vs Petrol: Why the SX-E8 Crushes the 65cc Class

More Torque: Blistering acceleration with zero lag

Less Weight: Better handling, easier for young riders to control

Quieter Operation: Ride anywhere without the roar

No Hot Parts or Fuel Hazards: Safer for hands-on learning

Minimal Maintenance: No oil, no fuel, no mess just charge and ride

The Verdict

The RFN Warrior SX-E8 doesn’t just match the performance of a traditional 65cc dirt bike it redefines it. With serious motor output, elite suspension, and clean electric power, it’s the perfect ride for young off-road warriors who want to level up their game and leave the petrol era behind.

What Are The Australian E-Bike Laws?

Visit your local state government website for latest e-bike laws. Generally, motor power must not exceed 250W, and the max pedal assist speed must be 25 km/h.

When it comes to road legal eBike laws in Australia, it is important to note that you should always check your local laws for the latest rules and regulations. However, there are some general guidelines that apply across the country (at the time of this writing):

  • A road legal eBike typically must have a maximum motor continuous power of 250W. However, in New South Wales (NSW), the maximum power allowed is 500W.
  • The maximum pedal assist speed for a road legal eBike is 25 km/h.
  • If the eBike is equipped with a throttle, it must be locked to a maximum speed of 6 km/h. This means the throttle can be used as a start aid to begin your ride and gain some momentum, but once you reach 6 km/h, you must start peddling and use the pedal assist mode.
  • In pedal assist mode, the motor provides assistance as you pedal. On higher pedal assist levels, you may find that you barely need to put force on the pedals, resulting in a similar riding experience to using an unlocked throttle.

Is A Licence Required To Ride An E-Bike?

No licence is needed if your e-bike complies with Australian road legality standards.

Which Frame Type Is Best For Me, Step-over Or Step-through?

When it comes to choosing a bike frame type, there are a few factors to consider. Step-over and step-through frames are the two main options, each with their own advantages and considerations.

Step-over frames:

Step-over frames are the traditional choice and are characterised by a top tube that runs from the handlebars to the seat post. It is believed that step-over frames are lighter and more rigid, making them ideal for riders who prioritise speed and performance.

However, due to advancements in frame technology, many step-through frames are now just as light and provide comparable strength.

Therefore, the advantages of step-over frames are no longer as significant as they once were.

Step-through frames:

Step-through frames, on the other hand, offer more practicality and ease of use. With a step-through frame, you can get on and off the bike without having to lift your leg over the top tube. This convenience is especially beneficial for riders who prioritise practicality over the aesthetics of the bike. Step-through frames are also better suited for shorter riders, as the top tube of a step-over frame may make it difficult for them to stand over it comfortably.

If a bike is going to be shared among family members with different genders and heights, a step-through frame is recommended. Additionally, if you plan on carrying a surfboard on your bike, a step-through frame is better since you won't have to step over the frame and the surfboard rack each time you want to get on or off the bike.

However, it's important to note that some customers prefer the look of a step-over bike. Furthermore, a top tube can be useful if you need to mount a child seat at the front or carry cargo, or if you want to attach various accessories to the frame.

A few years ago, 70% of our customers preferred the step over frame and 30% preferred the step through frame. Now the trend has changed towards the step through frame, with 60% of our customers choosing it and 40% going with the step over frame.

It's up to you to decide which frame type is best for your needs or looks more appealing to you. However, if you can't decide, we would suggest going with the step through frame.

Battery Maintenance and Prolonging Life Tips?

On average, batteries last 500-1000 recharge cycles or 2-4 years.

Proper maintenance of your eBike battery is essential to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. By following these tips, you can prolong the life of your battery and enjoy a more reliable riding experience.

1. Charge between 20% to 80%

Keeping your eBike battery's charge level between 20% and 80% can help double its longevity. Avoid draining the battery completely or letting it sit at full charge for extended periods.

2. Avoid Extreme Temperatures

Extreme temperatures can negatively impact your eBike battery's performance and lifespan. Do not expose the battery to very cold or very hot temperatures, as this can cause permanent damage. Store the battery in a cool and dry place when not in use.

3. Use the Original Charger

Always use the original charger that came with your eBike.

4. Avoid Overcharging

Do not leave your eBike battery on charge for an extended period after it has reached full capacity. Overcharging can strain the battery cells and shorten their lifespan. Unplug the charger as soon as the battery is fully charged.

By following these guidelines, you can optimize the performance and lifespan of your eBike battery, ensuring many enjoyable rides for years to come.
